Sermon for the Second Sunday of Advent (12/07):
“Do You Hear What I Hear?”

This sermon explores the sounds of the first Christmas – complaining, rejection, and rejoicing – as Mary, Joseph, and ordinary shepherds encountered the arrival of Christ. While the world often reacts with frustration or shuts out Jesus altogether, the shepherds show us the true response: seeking the Savior who first sought us. In a season when peace can feel fragile, this sermon invites us to make room for Christ, lay down our burdens, and rejoice in the good news that God has come near to bring salvation, rest, and lasting peace.

Luke 2:1-20, Matthew 11:28-30
