Obituary

Lois Ann Stricker, 91, of Mount Vernon met her Heavenly Father at her home on December 26, 2021, while surrounded by her family. She was born on January 22, 1930, to Maurice and Dorothy (Frazee) Clark in Coshocton County, OH.

Lois lived a simple, humble life. She loved working on the family farm, observing colorful flower gardens, and watching deer and cardinals. During Christmas, her family enjoyed making and eating her date pinwheel cookies and peanut brittle. She enjoyed many flavors of ice cream, but chocolate was a top favorite. Lois found joy in listening to piano students during their lessons and loving on her grandpups. She was a member of South Vernon United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon.

Lois is survived by her children, Clarence Stricker of Mount Vernon, Chuck (Lena) Stricker of Warsaw, Ohio, Sandra (Philip) Schell of Johnstown, and Barbara (Bill) Spitzer of Mount Vernon; grandchildren Charlotte (Kris) Weldy, Jennifer (Lonnie) Dulgar, Tyler (Angela) Stricker, Jeff (Mary) Stricker, Teri (Doug Simmons) Stricker, Molly (Austin Ritter) Schell, and Matthew Schell; great grandchildren Kaitlyn Weldy, Mikaela Weldy, Tad Weldy, Emily Stricker, Lukus Stricker, Seanna Pryor, Kamryn Pryor, Zane Stricker, Brooklynn Dulgar, and four step grandchildren; Nieces Tina Schrack and Amy (Rob) Badolato .

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter Stricker and sister Charlene Taynor.

The family would like to thank Dr. Brent Nimeth and the Kindred Hospice staff for their care in support during Lois’ time of need.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 31, 2021, at the Snyder Funeral Home ~ Lasater Chapel 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd., Mount Vernon, OH from 10:00am – 12:00pm. With a funeral service at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Bladensburg Cemetery.

The family requests masks to be worn during the calling hours and funeral service.
